What we’re harvesting…

The list below represents what produce we are likely to be harvesting through the season. We put a lot of thought into what we grow. We try to balance prioritizing healthy, delicious food people eat every day, with unique, fun, interesting, and culturally relevant crops. We love working with people and plants from around the world. Some of our favorite, most significant crops to grow are Aji Dulce Seasoning Peppers, an incredible heirloom from Puerto Rico, Radicchio Cioggia, Delusia, Tardivo, Rosa, Castelfranco and Puntarelle varietals bred from a grower in Veneto, Heirloom Tomatoes in every color, and the sweetest seedless woodermelon, cantaloupe, and corn. Our favorite are crops the ones whose stories come from right here. Two of our absolute favorites are Jimmy Nardello sweet red frying peppers, brought here from Italy, and Bloomsdale Winter Spinach, the best, wrinkliest, shiniest, squeakiest, sweetest winter spinach that just gets sweeter when it gets colder, bred by David Landreth, who started his seed company in Philadelphia in 1826.
